Dog Trail Walk Crofton

Looking for a great hike with your pup?

If you live in Anne Arundel County, chances are you’ve heard of the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail.

But if you haven’t yet had the chance to check it out, now is your chance! For those of you with dogs who enjoy a nice walk in the woods, the B and A Trails is a great resource. Over 13 miles of paved trails, plenty to sniff, and lots to see. Streams, historical markers, and even a linear museum with educational displays for the sun and each planet sponsored by NASA make for a great walk with your dog.

The trail runs for 13 miles and follows the route of the Annapolis and Baltimore Short Line–a train line that began running passenger and freight service in 1880. Now, the trail weaves through parks, neighborhoods, and wooded areas.

There are actually several places that you can catch the B and A trail depending on where you are coming from.

Those of us in Crofton, Annapolis, Glen Burnie, and Odenton might be able to find a trail head not far from home. The two suggested by Trail Link are in Annapolis and Glen Burnie. To learn more about where you might find a good place to start, check out the website.

So enjoy today’s beautiful weather as an opportunity to get out with your pup!
